An absolute treat overall. Great cook, great atmosphere, great croud and best of all top notch food, cooked with love! We are gratefull to have Makeba in our hometown.

My husband and I decided to take a break from cooking from our campsite and took a chance on this restaurant based on previous reviews. We received a warm welcome from Carol who also served our table. The dish my husband chose was a large bowl of mussels, seafood casserole with rice pilaf and a Greek salad. Very large pieces of scallops, shrimp and lobster. The portions were so large he couldn't eat it all. I chose the Poke bowl with chicken. It was very fresh and flavourful and there was none left ha ha. Carol's friendly personality had us laughing and enjoying our evening out. Highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Great value for great food. Disclaimer, the bowl of mussels full full to the top

Wow, what an absolutely wonderful dinning experience. Wonderful atmosphere with great and fast service, but it’s the food that will keep you smiling. Probably some of the best Fish and Chips I’ve ever had (which is a statement on its own coming from the Atlantic Provinces). Honestly if you live in the area, you should certainly be taking advantage of such great food so close to home. But for people making a trip to New Brunswick, a visit to Makeba restaurant should be a must on your travel Plans. Trust me, you will thank me for this review :)

The food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is very quaint . A must try the stir fry is my absolute favorite. Homemade fries they definitely have my vote

It's my second time here, will not be the last. Food, staff, atmosphere, impeccable. The seafood Lasagna and chicken souvlaki are incredible. Hats off to the chef! I wouldn't change a thing about the food ove tried. Excited to return and try some more food items. Also, the atmosphere, calming jazz, fresh flowers everywhere, my heart just melts. I love it new favorite spot around the area!!

Makeba's intimate atmosphere is stellar. The food made from scratch is definitely a highlight as well ; the caesar salad and the Makeba Burger are always the best choice!

This is the best restaurant in Kent County by far. The food is so tasteful the portion are appropriate. I went for lunch and had a seafood lasagna (with actual seafood in it!!!) and carrot soup! The price was amazing also. Both where the best I ever had! The decor is also very cute. If you’re ever around that corner you definitely have to stop 3

We dine here a few times per year, especially on their nights with live music. All the seafood dishes are fantastic, as are the mussels. The Creme Brule is unbeatable. The servers are so friendly and attentive. We will keep going back regularly, for these and many other good reasons. We'll done Chef!
